My Wife

I've been thinking a lot about how blessed I've been with such a wonderful wife!! She's always there for me no matter what. That's what everyone should have in a wife! She loves me through it all...and I know will always be there. She's amazing. She's my best friend and my soul mate. I waited patiently to find a girl like her.....and I knew after our first date that she was the one! Now we have a beautiful little girl who has brought even more joy to our lives! Kaelyn is such a blessing. She's the sweetest and smartest little girl you'll ever meet. We now have our second baby on the way...due in November and we couldn't be happier! The Lord has truly blessed us...for that I am so thankful!

New Work Vehicle

Soon I will be getting a brand new truck for work. Right now they have me driving a very nice one, but it makes me a little nervous since it has so many miles on it. I look forward to having a new one that I don't have to worry about miles. It would be fun to drive a brand new truck every day too! :) I am not complaining though...I've had jobs where I had to drive my own vehicle to work every day and pay for my own gas. I'm so thankful and feel truly blessed that i have a work vehicle and that they pay for my gas. It's definitely something that makes my job even better!!

Our house has been on the market for about 4 months now. We've had tons of showings and a couple of offers...but so far nothing we could take. It's tough being patient, but I know just like with my job last year...that with faith and patience God will work everything out the way it's supposed to go. Not everything happens in our timing...and from past experience Jen and I have both learned that God's timing is always best...even if it doesn't seem so at the time!! We're looking forward to see what he has in store for us...can't wait!

I'm really happy that I've had more time these days to blog. It seems that while we were in the process of moving, I barely ever got on the computer because we were just so busy with everything else that was going on. Now I've actually been able to find some time to blog and even blog for money a little bit. Do any of you do that? If not, you should definitely check into it. Where did summer go?

Tonight I am sitting here wondering, just where the summer has gone. We are entering the last week in July and I have barely spent any time on the golf course. I have been so busy with work and family that I just haven't had time to swing the ole' clubs! I'm hoping that in the month August allows me to get a couple of rounds of golf in!

Wishing for warmer weather

This is the first time that I can recall needing to wear a jacket in July because it was so cold out. Last Saturday, we spent the day in Forest City for Puckerbrush and Bill's birthday. And that night we went to the fireworks, where we were all bundled up in sweatshirts and jeans because it was so cold out. I was so cold, that night, you could see your breath. Now that ridiculous!

Tiger Wood's 2010

Today we spent the day with Jenna's family, for her Dad's birthday. Us guys couldn't wait for him to open his gifts because we knew that he was getting a game we all wanted to play, Tiger Wood's 2010 for Wii. We were all excited because we love to golf, but knew that our wives weren't going to let us run off for 5 hours so that we could golf. So we got him the next best thing, a game you can play from the comfort of his living room. Now we'll wait and see how long they'll let us play this game before cutting us off.

I hate Budgets!

I have been in my current job for almost a year now and I have to do something that I absolutely hate, preparing a budget. I know that when you are involved with sales that you must set goals for yourself and that I don't have a problem with. What I do have a problem with is the pressures of having to make these budgets. The other side of it is that I don't want to be sand-bagging it, I don't want to create a situation where I do well above my budget which sets the bar even higher the next year. Why can't they just let me go out and sell, and what my numbers are, they are.

Jen has said for quite some time how great it would be to take a family vacation somewhere. It's been nearly three years since we went anywhere and she's itching to get out. I don't blame her...I am too. I was looking into the Karisma Hotels for us and they sound absolutely wonderful! They are a collection of properties on the beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. What I found to be most impressive was their gourmet inclusive concept which would be perfect for those who love food! I also liked all over the services they have and great accommodations. I mean...who wouldn't want the snap-to service and swim up rooms these resorts provide?! I know I do! I guess we'll have to see if we end up taking a vacation this year, but if we do....Karisma is one option.

Golfing Tomorrow!

Today, the 4th of July, we spent moving in my wife's brother and his family. They moved back up to Iowa from Texas, after being gone for the past 4 years. So since that took up the whole day, our wives were so gracious to let us go play golf tomorrow. I am personally excited, because I have 3 new clubs that I have yet to use and the summer is half over. So I better make tomorrow count, since I don't know how many days I'll get this year.
